Send it out

After weeks of stress and deadlines, the new issue of Concrete Skateboarding just got sent out the door. There's an amazing Morgan Smith interview inside , along with many trips, and great photos. After going through my computer I thought I'd post a few of these photos that never made the cut and some randoms from hanging out on Granville Island.

The Vault - 1995 - 2006

Most people don't know that I used to film, not a lot as I never owned my own camera, but I had some fun times. I used to carry around a single DV tape and if anyone had a camera I'd ask to film a few tricks on it, as you can see in the footage there's some bad quality cameras with no sound, dirt in the camera etc. I found this box of old tapes while doing some spring cleaning and this is what was on them, good memories in here. Enjoy.

   After doing a little spring cleaning i noticed a box of old tapes. After opening and looking at them I noticed that there's footage on these digi tapes from around 10 - 7 years ago . Hopefully I can put a little edit together soon, some good tricks in there even for these days. For now here's a few randoms that I got off my point and shoot. Transworld Magazine - April issue

The new TWS just came out with an amazing photo of Kenny Anderson on the cover. Luckily for me I have a portrait of Spencer Hamilton in there as well. Can't wait to see his part in the new Expedition video.

   I don't use my film camera as much as I'd like to , maybe cause I'm selective with what I shoot, it takes a while to shoot and finish a few rolls. Here's a few from a project I'm work ing on, plus a couple from Barcelona, expect much more in the next few months.

 Just got home from Spain and rolled into the office to see this waiting for me, the new Concrete Skateboarding magazine. Here's a shot of Lee Yankou on the cover shot by Dan Zaslavsky, and my Thailand article. Hopefully I'll have some Spain photos to post later this week, we had about 35  Canadians there this year so I was busy shooting with many different crews.

Barcelona tomorrow

 Heading to Spain tomorrow, so I thought I'd post a few random photos from the past  few weeks. Spencer Hamilton and Paul Trep , took them to a spot and left with a few photos from each. This is a common event from these two.

Know Show Magazine

Incase you missed the Know Show in Calgary this year, they put about another great magazine, this time the Photo Issue. Here is a quick sample of what I had in there, and a shot of the cover , hopefully I can grab a copy before they're all taken up.

Carnival in Barcelona

I just found out that I'm heading back to Spain and then Portugal to drink wine and shoot some photos. Should be some heavy pingpong matches this year as my roommates are Travis Stenger and Joey Williams. Photos to appear in future issues of Concrete Skateboarding Magazine.

Music to photography

 There's been a lot of multimedia packages on the web these days so I thought I'd bunch some photos up that I've shot and try to match the feel of them to some music.  Hope you get the feel of it like I did when shooting these. I think next time I'll try listening to the song while shooting. The song is by Sting.

Haslam's new board ! + extras

 Just hung out with Haslam and got to see his  new graphic. This actually comes with a beanie and a Tshirt all sealed  up with his Almost board.  Hopefully we'll be seeing some skate footy from him on Vancouver soil as well.
